PUC’s wholly-owned subsidiary, MaxGreen Energy Sdn Bhd (“MESB”), was awarded as Feed-in Tariff (“FiT”) Approval Holder (“FiAH”) on 12 March 2015 by Sustainable Energy Development Authority (“SEDA”). MESB currently operates a one (1) Megawatt Peak (“MWp”) capacity solar photovoltaic (“PV”) power plant located in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia which supplies electricity to Tenaga Nasional Berhad, generating a steady stream of revenue to the Group over a twenty-one (21) year period. The FiT mechanism ensures that renewable energy is a viable and sound long-term investment for the Group. 

Looking at the growth potential and recurring capability in the sector, MESB envisions expanding the solar PV plants capacity up to fifty (50) MWp in the near future. MESB are also collaborating with industry leaders, having signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PWF Consolidated Berhad to explore biogas energy production and formed a joint venture with Malaysian Green Technology Corporation to jointly bid for renewable energy projects.
